Location

Adelboden is located in the bernese oberland, approximately an hour's drive to the East of Bern.

Pros

Superb off piste opportunities.

Easy transport access.

A lot of different slopes for all levels.

Different ski Resorts around the Village with not that much people in the smaller ones.

Usually nice shaped snowpark

Not an glacier ski resort, but still snow safe

Getting There

Fly to Zurich and hire a car. 2 hour drive.

Basel is a 1.5 hour drive.

By train : about 1.5 h from Zürich to Spiez, and another hour to Adelboden. Trains from Spiez (and Bus from Frutigen) run about every hour. And being Switzerland they run on time.

Bars & Entertainment

For the first beer of the evening, the "Rösi" is the place to be. It's cheap and everybody is there
Later on there is the Berna Bar, a disco
For the ones more into concerts is the Alte Taverne

These and more bars are all located in the center of the village
