Engleberg is located in central Switzerland, approximately an hour's drive to the East of Zurich.

Pros

Superb off piste opportunities.

Very easy transport access.

A lot of vertical metres.

Getting There

Easiest to fly to Zurich and hire a car. 1 hour drive.

Basel is a 1.5 hour drive.

By train : about 45mins from Zürich to Luzern and another hour to Engelberg. Trains from Luzern run about every hour. A small section is by cog-rail. And being Switzerland they run on time.

Off Piste

Plenty. Famous is the Laub from Stand down to Gerschnialp. Also run heading right from Jochstock down to Trübsee. Plenty more possibilities - check with local guides.
