If you have not already done so, for a free account on the ski.com.au Marketplace
2. Sign in
to your active account.
3. Select 'Place Ad'
from the navigation tabs. (Shown in the following diagram)
4. Choose a category from the list
VERY IMPORANT: you must choose a category that directly relates to what you are advertising. Please start by selecting a main category from the list then keep selecting the relevant sub category until you reach the end of the category selection screens based on your ad.
Hint: The deeper you go in the categories the better as it means your ad will be viewed in every category above it = more views! (ie. if you place an ad in Snow Packages > Australia > NSW your ad will be shown 3 times as people navigated through the site but if you place it in Snow Packages > Australia > NSW > Charlotte Pass it will be shown 4 times as visitors 'drill down' for information.

5. Enter your ads details
in the fields provided. Try to be as detailed about your ad as possible and remember to complete all address information that is relevant to this specific ad. (Shown in the following diagram)
6. Upload your photos
that relate to your ad. (Shown in the following diagram)
If you have photos
select them from your computers hard drive using the Browse button then click the Enter Photos button below. Photos will be scaled automatically to fit into your ad but photos who's file size is bigger than 2MB will not be accepted. NOTE: If you've selected photos and clicked Enter Photos but keep returning to this same screen it's probably because your image sizes are too big. Reduce them, select the new smaller ones, and proceed.
If you don't have any photos to go with your ad
click the No photos button (you can add or change photos at any time after you have placed your ad).
7. Listing approval
Shows how your ad will look. Simply check that everything is ok and click 'Approve' at the bottom of the page to continue. Other buttons here allow you to go back and edit your ad accordingly. (Shown in the following diagram)
8. Transaction details
This page shows 3 areas relating to the payment (if any) of placing your ad: (Shown in the following diagram)
lists the personal details of the person placing the ad (this should be you).
Listing Cost and Features
shows costs associated with placing the ad including:
- Cost of Listing this amount is calculated from the category your ad is placed in and the duration of the listing as outlined in the Classifieds Rates.
- Ad Upgrades (Bolding, Featured Listing, Featured Deal and Attention Getters) are optional upgrades for your ad to give it more presence on the website. The associated fees are shown next to each upgrade and are selected via the little round 'yes' or 'no' button.
choose either to pay via credit card, Paypal or by using your site balance via selecting the little round button to the right of each option. You only need to choose one of these payment methods if there are any costs associated with this ad (including ad upgrades).
9. Final Approval
This page confirms a total amount owing for the placement of this ad including all upgrading fees and your payment choice made. Click 'Complete Transaction' to finalise and pay for the ad. Other buttons here allow you to go back and edit your ad accordingly. (Shown in the following diagram)
10. Successful Submission
This page confirms your ad had has been sucessfully listed on the ski.com.au Marketplace. (Shown in the following diagram)
If you are having trouble making it to the 'Successful Submission' page here are some tips to help get you here.
Tip 1. Error messages:
If you get stuck on one page and cannot advance to the next page look for the 'error messages in red' they will highlight what you are missing.
Tip 2. Cancel Listing:
If all else fails click on the red 'cancel listing' button at the bottom of the 'Place Ad' pages and start again (it's like turning the computer off and on again when it's not working!).
