Jahorina is a mountain in Republika Srpska (Republic of Srpska, Serbian part of Bosnia and Herzegovina). It is situated 28km from Sarajevo.

Pros

Good value. Lift linked mountain. Quiet except at weekends. Reliable snow from mid December to late March. Pistes well maintained.

Cons

Old and slow lifts. No snowmaking facility. Difficult to access on public transport. Limited amount of English langauge spoken on hill. Lowest lifts opened occasionally.

From Sarajevo City take a bus to Pale. The last nine kilometres from Pale to the ski centre take a taxi.

On Mountain

There are hotels as well as apartments. The rates are usually unexpensive, example one of the hotel offers for 190 € seven days with halfboard (breakfast and dinner).
