Alpure Peaks Snowcat and Backcountry Adventures is in the heart of the Mackenzie District, in South Canterbury. Alpure Peaks offer guided skiing and snowboarding tours to skiers and riders of all skill levels.
Alpure Peaks is located 30 minutes drive from Fairlie, at the Fox Peak ski club access road. Fairlie is 2.5 hours from Christchurch and 3.5 hours from Queenstown on the inland scenic route (SH8).
Highly trained and very experienced backcountry guide. There is noone else around. Area is avalanche controlled so the backcountry conditions are very safe.

From State Highway 8 and driving south from Christchurch: Turn right into Clayton Road (see Fox Peak Skifield sign) just before the Fairlie township. Drive around 20kms to the Alpure Peaks office (at the Lilydale Homestead). Then, back on Clayton Road, drive just past the homestead and turn left into the Fox Peak Skifield access road. There is a gate across the road - please close the gate behind you.
There is no mountain accommodation, but Fairlie township has motels, pubs, B&Bs and farmstays .
Day Tours cost $400.00 per person. Recommend booking in advance.
Ski and snowboard hire is available at the Ski Shack on Allandale Road in Fairlie.
Your Guide will take you to the best runs for the abilities of the group. There are runs suitable for all levels of ability and experience.
