Overview 

Eldora Ski Resort is a small ski area in Colorado,USA. It is located in the southwest corner of Boulder County and is one of the few ski areas on the east side of the continental divide. The ski area was founded in 1962 and has been reasonably popular, despite its small size, due to the fact that people can avoid the overcrowded I-70 bypass to get there.

The mountain reaches an altitude of 10800 feet (3292 m) at the summit, the base at around 9200 feet (2804 m), with 680 acres of skiable terrain of all abilities. The ski area supports 12 lifts and has 4 terrain parks.

The ski resort offers a variety of on-site restaurants to choose from, a tuning center and equipment rental and storage. Accommodation is available nearby, in the towns of Nederland and Boulder.

Getting There

From Boulder — Approximately 21 miles (35 minutes). Take Canyon Blvd. west (Canyon Blvd. is Hwy. 119). Follow 119 to Nederland. Turn left at the Roundabout. Continue south on 119 for one mile. Turn right on 130 and follow the signs to Eldora.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available in the nearby town of Nederland and in Boulder just 30 minutes away, so there is much to choose from. Hint: Due to the closeness to Boulder, Colorado, finding accommodation is not a problem. This is because many of the hotels in Boulder have cheap winter prices and visitors are scarce at this time of the year.

Eldora Mountain Resort Trailmap

Eldora Mountain Resort is a fairly small ski resort, the village isn't the type that everyone stays in. As such the village is rather small and getting around isn't much of a task.

As shown in the map everything you need is concentrated in the "Little Hawk Family Zone" so getting around on site, walking is the best option.

To access the rest of the mountain, the best way to go about it is either skiing or boarding.
