No crowds. Near Walhalla, an attractive tourist town.
Fairly remote from population centres. Gravel road.
See website: http://www.stgwinear.info/
190km east of Melbourne. Take the Princes Freeway M1 to Moe and C466 to Erica. Last chance for chain hire is at Erica. There are 11 km of unsealed road, but the going is fairly easy.
There is no on mountain accommodation.
Walhalla or Rawson Village are the closest options.
No lifts, no lift tickets. The $10.50 entry fee covers clearing snow from the road and XC trail maintenance.
None, but there is a ski patroller on weekends.
None on snow, nearest is at Erica or hire before you leave home.
Nothing except a fairly basic, (but heated), visitors' shelter with toilets.
