Revelstoke is an awesome mountain (in the true sense of inspiring awe).  It is over 1,700 metres, more than a mile in the old money, from top to bottom which can be done in a continuoud fall line run if you want.  The runs are unrelenting.  The easiest run (apart from a token magic carpet that is really a connector from the day lodge to the gondola) would be a very dark blue.  There are ''no'' flats, apart from where cat tracks cross the runs.  There is nothing that could be called a blue cruiser.  The resort is nestled in the Selkirk mountains, which are the playground of several heli-skiing operations.  The powder is deep, frequent and light.

Overview

Revelstoke is an awesome mountain (in the true sense of inspiring awe). It is over 1,700 metres, more than a mile in the old money, from top to bottom which can be done in a continuoud fall line run if you want. The runs are unrelenting. The easiest run (apart from a token magic carpet that is really a connector from the day lodge to the gondola) would be a very dark blue. There are no flats, apart from where cat tracks cross the runs. There is nothing that could be called a blue cruiser. The resort is nestled in the Selkirk mountains, which are the playground of several heli-skiing operations. The powder is deep, frequent and light.

Future development is intended to open some easier terrain, but at the moment (2011) the place is an expert hotshots' paradise.
