A bit boring, aren't you? Do you intend to take the character out of everything on the Wiki?

I'm curious where did you get the idea that "lower-case initials for titles is now standard" for wikiski ? Also instead of leaving comments within the article you would be better off putting them on the talk pages. - Deye

That's nice, however if you look at the resort template you'll see caps in the titles along with "On Mountain" and "Off Mountain". Comments will only be seen in the editing mode, however the guidelines state they should be put on the talk page. - Deye

Where? Please link, since the Guidelines I see mention no such thing. Tony 19:12, 20 June 2009 (EST)
Yeah, it's real nice. And the template is trashy, if that is the case. Signing properly gives the time of your post, too. And I see that of the three examples, one uses sentence case: not even the template is consistent.
Of greater concern is the advertorials implicit in the Perisher page. That clearly breaches the guideline. Tony 19:06, 20 June 2009 (EST)

Wikipedia is not wikiski, they have different purposes, different standards and different guidelines. The templates here outline the information which is useful to a skier or boarder who might be planning on visiting a resort. Most won't give a crap about title case or sentence case. The link you asked for is in the editing overview. As for advertising if you are concerned over information in an article then take it up with the admin, the link to the support forum is over to the left under "help". In my opinion there will always be a certain amount of material that could be considered advertising as the information is kept up to date with changes at the resorts each year. The resorts have edited pages in the past which make them sound like a big ad, but they then get edited by someone else to tone them down a bit. It's a matter of balance, just so long as you aren't endorsing a particular company. For example if one of the pages was to link to one bus company servicing an area then that could be considered endorsement, linking to all the bus companies on the other hand is not. Speaking for myself I will add in links when it is to something I would need and look for when visiting a resort. D-eye 19:38, 20 June 2009 (EST) (since you keep insisting)

Then fix the "advertorials", while keeping the information. You should have seen it before I took on the Perisher marketing department a year or three ago. Or the Falls Creek marketing department.

Instead of futzing about with upper and ower case titles, or removing critical stff about Sydney airport, do something constructive.

Who's that? I don't respond to anonymous posts. D-eye, with your attitude, this site will remain very subprofessional. I'll ensure that notifications elsewhere come with a cautionary rider. Yes, I'm very concerned about the hidden advertising, and it needs to be taken seriously.
And you know what? You just spent any goodwill I might have had for this site. Tony 01:00, 21 June 2009 (EST)

I don't make any anonymous posts, if you want to see who wrote what then click the history button at the top of the page. D-eye 01:12, 21 June 2009 (EST)
